Annie’s goal is to help her clients by educating and empowering them so that they can begin to incorporate healthier food and lifestyle choices into their daily lives. Fueling the body with a broad variety of nutrient dense foods is at the core of healing and plays a critical role in creating balance within the body. Our bodies need sleep, exercise, and clean fuel to function most effectively. The better the quality of food we eat, the better we feel. When we feel good, we have more energy, we are more productive, and it becomes easier to balance our world and handle unexpected events. Many foods in the standard American diet (SAD diet) contribute to the inflammation that leads to chronic disease. Making informed and conscious decisions may lead to the prevention, or, amelioration of many of the chronic illnesses that plague our population today.

Annie Rose Williams earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Bowdoin College in 1985 and her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in August of 2012. Between 1985 and 2012 she established herself as a photographer, specializing in children and families, a passion she still enjoys. This opportunity of observing the life styles of adults and children led to a realization of the importance of nutrition and motivated her to become a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her fascination with biochemistry and the science of nutrition led her to graduate school. Annie is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and she keeps up to date on the latest health and nutrition research by regularly attending workshops and conferences in the field. A passionate omnivore and foodie, Annie enjoys a multitude of cuisines and loves experimenting with and sharing simple and delicious recipes that energize and nourish the body and soul.
